For such a small kitchen, this was a massive project. The customer had a small galley kitchen but wanted to maximize the feeling of space and make it feel modern. The way these kitchens are normally done is in a U shape with wall cabinets all round. I offered the idea of installing tall larder units and having only shelving on the wall. This ensured the customer still had the storage they required but gave the feeling of space. The navy kitchen from howdens with pewter handles and pink backlit cabinets really set it off. We finished it off by sanding the original floorboards and adding a chalkboard feature wall.
